BRS 6-Stage Deluxe Plus 200 GPD RO/DI System

$400,00

The BRS 6-Stage Deluxe Plus 200 GPD Water Saver RO/DI System combines the familiar 6-stage Deluxe filtration setup with a dual-membrane water saver configuration — producing purified water twice as fast with roughly half the waste compared to single-membrane systems. Dual color-changing DI resin, pressure gauge, manual flush valve and dual inline TDS meter included. Lifetime warranty.

Description

The BRS 6-Stage Deluxe Plus 200 GPD Water Saver sits in a precise spot in the BRS lineup: it takes the well-proven 6-Stage Deluxe filtration stages and adds the dual-membrane water saver upgrade, giving you significantly faster output and less water waste — without stepping up to the full Pro Series DI resin of the 7-Stage PRO. For reefers who do large or frequent water changes and want quicker fill times without the premium price of the flagship system, this is the practical middle ground.
Best suited for: city water treated with chlorine or chloramines, and most well water sources. Requires 65+ PSI source water pressure. For source water above 200 TDS, a single-membrane system is recommended to reduce DI resin consumption.

Six stages — with dual-membrane water saver at the core
Stage 1 — Sediment Filter
A 1-micron GE RO Save.Z Premium Sediment Filter intercepts particulate matter — dirt, rust, sand and debris — before it reaches the membranes. This first protective stage extends the service life of every filter that follows and keeps the system operating at full efficiency.
Stages 2 & 3 — Dual Carbon Blocks
Two BRS 1-micron Universal Carbon Blocks work in tandem to strip both chlorine and chloramines from incoming water before it contacts the RO membranes. A single carbon stage handles chlorine effectively but falls short with chloramines — the dual configuration is what makes this system reliable on the vast majority of US municipal water supplies.
Stage 4 — Dual RO Membranes (Water Saver)
This is where the 200 GPD Water Saver earns its name. Two DOW Filmtec 100 GPD membranes run in a water-saver configuration: instead of discarding the waste stream from the first membrane, it is redirected into the second membrane for a second filtration pass.
The outcome is twofold — product water is produced twice as fast as a single 100 GPD membrane setup, and waste water output is reduced by approximately half. For reefers filling large sumps or topping off big tanks, this difference in fill speed becomes significant over time. And for anyone mindful of water usage, cutting waste output in half is a meaningful environmental and cost benefit.
Stages 5 & 6 — Dual Deionization Cartridges
Two canisters of BRS Color-Changing Mixed Bed DI Resin polish the post-membrane water to a confirmed 0 TDS. The dual canister design provides an important operational advantage: as the first cartridge depletes, the second continues producing 0 TDS water uninterrupted.
The recommended approach is a simple first-in, first-out rotation — when the first canister is fully exhausted, move it to the second position and refill it, then place the still-active second canister in the first position. This method eliminates the risk of accidentally producing water with residual TDS and removes the need to watch resin levels closely. The color-changing resin makes depletion visible at a glance — dark blue when fresh, turning gold as it exhausts.

Deluxe Plus monitoring and maintenance package
Three pre-installed upgrades make day-to-day operation easier and protect the system’s long-term performance:
A glycerin-filled pressure gauge lets you confirm incoming water pressure is within the optimal range for the dual-membrane setup. Water saver systems require 65+ PSI to operate correctly — too low and membrane rejection rates drop significantly.
A manual flush flow restrictor allows you to quickly flush accumulated contaminants from the membrane surfaces, extending service life without disassembling the system.
A dual inline TDS meter continuously monitors dissolved solids before and after the DI stage, giving you immediate confirmation of 0 TDS output and instant warning if any stage begins to underperform.

No plumbing experience needed
Connects via garden hose or utility sink adapter for simple temporary use, or permanently under a sink via the included EZ Angle Stop Adapter and Drain Saddle Clamp. Multiple faucet adapters included for a wide range of standard fittings. Full setup instructions provided.
