All four dosing heads use the identical direct-drive planetary gear-motor mechanism as the ReefDose 2, delivering ±0.05 mL accuracy or 0.5% average deviation over 10 mL across all four channels simultaneously. Each head clicks on and off without tools in seconds, and the controller tracks cumulative volume per dose to maintain accuracy even when a daily total is divided across many small doses throughout the day.
The automatic delay between successive head activations ensures that no two supplements dose at exactly the same time — preventing chemical interaction between calcium and alkalinity solutions in the tubing or sump, regardless of how tightly the four schedules are packed.

Food Head mode — fourth channel for liquid feeding
Any of the four channels can be designated as a Food Head in the ReefBeat app. When a Food Head is triggered, the app automatically activates Feed Mode across all connected ReefBeat devices — pausing flow pumps, skimmers and other equipment that would disperse the food before coral can capture it. This turns the ReefDose 4 into an automated coral feeding station as well as a supplement doser.
