The EcoTech Marine Versa redefines what a dosing pump is expected to do. While most peristaltic pumps on the market are designed for one job — delivering a fixed volume of additive on a schedule — the Versa was engineered from the ground up to handle the full range of precision fluid management tasks a serious reef system demands. Two-part dosing, auto top-off, automated water changes, calcium reactor feeding, liquid food delivery — one pump, controlled from your phone.
Precision DC stepper motor with planetary gearing
The mechanical heart of the Versa is a pancake-style DC stepper motor connected to a planetary gear system — a drive configuration borrowed from industrial precision applications. The result is exceptionally fine control over flow rate, with a dosing range spanning from 0.5 µL all the way to 300 mL per minute. Accuracy sits at ±2% or better across this entire range, which is what separates the Versa from conventional peristaltic dosers that lose precision at low volumes.
The planetary gear system also dramatically reduces noise — the Versa operates quietly enough to sit in a living room setup without drawing attention.
Lab-grade tubing for long service life
The internal hose is manufactured from laboratory-grade tubing, chosen specifically for chemical resistance and longevity under continuous peristaltic compression. Combined with the heavy-duty roller assembly, the Versa’s pump head is designed for extended service between tube replacements — roughly every 12 months or 6,000 gallons under normal use.
Four operating modes — one pump for every application
In Auto Mode the Versa draws on preset dosing schedules built around known parameter changes in reef tanks across the light cycle and biological activity periods. Select the additive type — calcium, alkalinity, magnesium, or other — and the pump applies smart scheduling automatically.
In Manual Mode you build a fully custom program with up to 30 discrete dosing events in a 24-hour period, specifying volume and rate for each event independently.
Continuous Mode sets a fixed flow rate that runs whenever the pump is powered — ideal for reactor feeding or ATO applications controlled by an external float switch or aquarium controller.
The Catch-Up feature is a practical safeguard: if the pump is interrupted or powered off during its daily program, it calculates the missed volume and delivers it at the next opportunity, ensuring your daily dose is never simply skipped.
Built-in overdose protection
The Versa includes programmable safeguards that limit how much fluid can be delivered in a given time window — a critical feature when dosing concentrated additives like alkalinity solutions, where accidental overdosing can crash a reef in hours. These limits work independently of the dosing schedule and provide a last line of defence against pump errors or programming mistakes.
Mobius app — wireless control via Bluetooth
All programming, calibration and monitoring is handled through the free EcoTech Marine Mobius app on iOS or Android, connecting directly to the Versa via Bluetooth. The calibration process is guided step by step through the app — no manual programming or technical knowledge required. Once set up, the app lets you monitor dosing container volume, track delivery history and adjust schedules remotely.
The Versa integrates fully with the wider EcoTech Mobius ecosystem — if you’re already running Radion lights or VorTech pumps, the Versa slots into the same interface without additional setup.
Modular and expandable
The Versa is sold as a single pump for reefers who need one or two channels, and as a four-pack with a Base Station for those building out a full multi-additive dosing system. The optional Base Station docks up to four Versa pumps onto a single rail with one consolidated power supply, keeping the sump cabinet tidy and reducing cable clutter. Each pump retains its individual control through Mobius regardless of whether it’s docked to the Base Station or running standalone.
Compatible with 1/4″ RO tubing — the same tubing used throughout most reef systems.
